Freshman Year
The Rosary Project
My Rosary project dealt with the Rosary's history and the Joyful Mysteries. The first section concerns how many traditions of the Rosary came to be. The second section goes over each Mystery and their stories. After each Mystery is a meditation for the viewer to partake in.
What the Church and the world thinks about
The eye of Providence
A lot of people believe that The Eye of Providence (more popularly known as the Illuminati) is the sign of the Devil. That it is controlling the government and brainwashing us all slowly. However, no one bothered to research their claims. For in the midst of all the yelling and blasphemy, people didn't realize that the Eye isn't evil at all. The Eye, which actually has ties with The Eye of Buddha of Buddhism and the Nazar from Judaism, represents protection from evil. It symbolized an "all-watching" and thus, "all-loving" figure. In the meanwhile, the triangle represented strength. In architecture, the triangle is actually used frequently due to the fact that it can hold itself up without falling apart; something that other shapes struggle to fulfill. Together, this creates the message of an omnipresent, all loving, powerful creature. In other words, God. Because of this, it has been used in many Victorian Churches throughout the world.

Instalent photo challenge
Immediately when this challenge was introduced to me, I knew that I wanted to draw. It reminded me of the "Inktober" challenge, an event in which an artist draws something every day with different prompts each day. I never got to participate, mainly because I felt as if it would be too burdening. However, this challenge helped me feel what it might be like. It was a bit time consuming, but I did find a lot of techniques to do my homework while still keeping up with the challenge. I might even do the Inktober Challenge this year thanks to this event!
